Saviynt Launches Cloud PAM for Cloud Workloads and Hybrid Apps

This unique SaaS offering enables organizations to govern and administer privileged access to workloads and applications with integrated security analytics and segregation of duty violation verification, thereby enabling enterprises to stay compliant.

PRESS RELEASE — LOS ANGELES — Saviynt, the trust award-winning provider of the industry’s leading intelligent, identity governance and management platform, today announced the launching of their newest security solution, Saviynt Cloud PAM at this year’s AWS re:Inforce in Boston and Identiverse in Washington, D.C.

Saviynt Cloud PAM is the latest addition to Saviynt’s core IGA platform that also offers Application Access Governance for critical applications and Cloud Security, seamlessly extending the power of intelligent identity to Privileged Access Management. Enterprises can now ensure that all risk indicators including a potentially toxic combination of access or attempt to access a compromised workload are evaluated preemptively before a user checks out privilege access. With Saviynt’s Cloud PAM, various identity management capabilities such as event-based access review, role or group management, succession or ownership management further enhance the capabilities beyond what a traditional PAM offers.

“Digital transformation and cloud-first are the top initiatives in most enterprises today. With the proliferation of data and critical assets now residing outside the traditional perimeter, identity is now the new perimeter. In response to these market conditions, it is important for us to deliver a cloud-native PAM solution that not only is more effective than legacy PAM but can also be delivered faster to provide quicker business value,” said Amit Saha, CEO, Saviynt.

This general availability release comes after an extensive customer beta period of testing that also included a value-add partner, Fishtech. “Working with Saviynt on this important next step in their technology maturity has been enlightening how we can extend the value of the Saviynt industry-leading IGA platform to encompass a broader set of functionality that is essential to the protection, health, and growth of the enterprise,” said Dan Thormodsgaard, Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer, Fishtech Group.

As well, Saviynt included analysts in the review of the product and its strategic importance to the enterprise. “As large enterprises look to both extend their digital reach and better orchestrate this expanding universe, we see an inevitable convergence of PAM and IGA. It is a matter of achieving stronger, more consistent governance while paying particular attention to those that can do the greatest damage to an enterprise; the privileged users. Saviynt’s approach of blending their cloud-native PAM solution with their existing IGA access governance addresses is a solid step in the right direction,” said Gary Rowe, CEO and Principal Consulting Analyst, TechVision Research.

Saviynt Cloud PAM provides emergency access management to business-critical applications such as SAP, Oracle Cloud ERP, Salesforce in addition to securing *NIX, Windows, serverless APIs, databases and other infrastructure workloads. Risk-based PAM processes take center stage with Saviynt Cloud PAM as it integrates with 3rd party solutions such as Qualys for vulnerability management, Securonix for SIEM / UEBA, ServiceNow GRC, Microsoft for IDaaS / MFA and more to create a highly effective and risk-aware PAM solution.

“The protection of critical applications such as ERP is not given the attention that it desperately needs; IDC finds that the cost of one hour of downtime often exceeds an organization’s total spend on ERP security,” according to Jay Bretzmann, Program Director, Cybersecurity Products at IDC. “Providing visibility into privileged and non-privileged identity challenges with ERP applications and easy, one-click remediation and governance addresses critical identity vulnerability challenge.”
