When new malware is detected, the necessary information is sent to the Collective Intelligence servers hosted in the cloud automatically. The information is processed by the servers, delivering a solution in real time.

1. BY BRINGING IN BIG DATA:
All data and responses from past attacks and from attempted attacks are stored and analyzed. This data is especially beneficial during sudden and unexpected attacks, where past data and analysis can be leveraged to combat similar attacks.
2. BY IP REPUTATION SCORE:
Based on past behaviour and data, IP addresses are assigned reputation scores. When the site or platform is accessed through an IP address with a low score, an alarm is triggered and the vendor is prepared.
Evidently, collective intelligence is the next big thing in cloud security, and is beneficial in both the short and long-term. The complexity of some attacks and the limitations of older combat methods means that companies should identify a multi-layered defence strategy that works to ensure the cloud performs at the desired efficiency.
