Salesforce Expands Sales Cloud Platform

Salesforce announced some improvements to its Sales Cloud Platform, primarily that it will now deliver a more integrated sales process. The new layers of integration will help companies complete the entire sales process.

NewsCred Launches Idea Lab

Content marketing platform provider, NewsCred, announced the launch of Idea Lab which aims to boost the process of content creation with social and search data. Idea Lab enables marketing teams to Identify topics that will engage audiences, drive organic traffic, and rank high in online search results. Within Idea Lab, marketers can analyze competition, determine target keywords, and ensure content aligns with what their audience wants.

ComScore Taps New President

Bryan Wiener, former CEO of ComScore, has tapped his former colleague, Sarah Hofstetter, to become the company’s new president. Hofstetter will start in her new role on October 4th and be responsible for the company’s commercial strategy as well as the group that reports the analytics of movies and box office sales.

Nosto Releases New B2B Personalization Tools

Personalization platform, Nosto, is rolling out some new tools including insights gained through artificial intelligence and content personalization. These new tools allow retailers in the commerce space to ensure delivery of unique and targeted shopping experiences to specific types of customers across multiple touch points.

 

Anaplan Adds New Chief Financial Officer to Team

Connected planning company, Anaplan, has announced the appointment of finance industry veteran, David Morton Jr., as the company’s new chief financial officer. Most recently, Morton was the chief accounting officer at Tesla and spend over two decades in various executive roles at Seagate Technologies. He will be responsible for boosting the company’s global financial organization.

TrustArc Will Start Offering APEC PRP Certification

Leading data privacy management company, TrustArc, has announced expansion of its service offerings. The company will now include Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Privacy Recognition for Processors (PRP) Certification. With this new inclusion, TrustArc is the only approved U.S. provider for this certification and becomes the first company authorized to be an Accountability Agent, enabling businesses to operate as data processors.

Freshworks Gets a New CMO

Customer engagement software company, Freshworks, has announced the appointment of David Thompson as the company’s new chief marketing officer. Thompson is a veteran in the Software-as-a-Service industry and will be tasked with launching an aggressive brand advertising campaign to push the company in the SaaS (pronounced “sass”) market.

Sisense Closes $80 Million Investment Round

The company disrupting the business intelligence market, Sisense, announced the completion of an $80 million investment round. This round brings total investments to $200 million. Global venture capital firm, Insight Venture Partners, led in this funding round.

Sprinklr and Snaps Integrate

Social media management platform, Sprinklr, and conversational marketing platform, Snaps, announced the integration of their companies as they launch the Sprinklr and Snaps Agent Handoff. The goal with this new integration is to efficiently manage the transition between an automated chatbot and a human agent across social media platforms and SMS.
