California-based cyber-security company, Lastline, announces new line of security focused products specifically for the cloud.
Artificial intelligence-driven network security and advanced malware protection company, Lastline, has announced the launch of a new series of cloud-based security products.
These products aim to help companies protect themselves from phishing attacks, malware, and email data leakage.
According to the company’s descriptions of its products, its Email Defender protects cloud-based on-premise email deployments. The new set of products include Lastline Email Defender which is a threat detection service for cloud-native email applications such as Office 365 and Gmail.
Additionally, the product also provides on-premise security controls such as Secure Email Gateways that can address simple threats such as spam, but cannot address more complicated threats.
Speaking on the occasion of the product launch, CEO and Cofounder, Christopher Kruegel said, “Email remains a primary attack vector for every organization, regardless of size or industry.”
He further commented, “Email-based attacks continue to succeed because advanced threat actors continue to improve techniques for bypassing both traditional and ‘next-generation’ security controls, leaving systems and data at risk.”
