Great marketing requires the latest innovative marketing technology

The latest and greatest innovative marketing technologies have allowed businesses to reach and market to customers more effectively and accurately. As marketing technology progresses, even more, we will see some extraordinary digital trends emerge.

With technology constantly making marketing faster and easier, it is necessary to keep up-to-date with the latest technologies that are innovating marketing. One of the most used digital marketing trends right now is content marketing. This is when businesses create a marketing campaign directed at a target audience, but there are many more trends on the horizon.

Top 5 latest innovative technologies for marketing

Along with content marketing, there are a few digital trends that help make the best marketing campaigns. VR and AR are two major current marketing trends allowing customers to experience products and ideas first-hand. Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) have helped progress the latest marketing trends by bringing a realistic experience to customers without them having to leave their homes. The internet of things (IoT) has become very popular over the years, as it allows people’s electronics to connect and exchange data. Automation and machine learning have improved marketing in significant ways by allowing businesses to use precise data to create better marketing campaigns. The fourth latest innovative technology to benefit marketing is the integration of physical and digital. The fifth latest innovation is on-demand and the expectancy of everything now. With anything and everything available at our fingertips, digital marketing trends should use all resources to their advantage. To recap, the top five latest innovative technologies for marketing:

  • Virtual Reality (VR) & Augmented Reality (AR)
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Automation & Machine Learning
  • Integration of Physical and Digital Marketing
  • On-Demand

Digital marketing trends 2018

A major digital marketing trend is non-visual experiences. Smart speakers like Amazon’s Echo Dot and Google’s Home benefit customers with the ability to use their voice to ask questions, receive answers and even shop. These smart speakers are allowing for the integration of physical and digital marketing and adding to on-demand marketing. One huge digital advertising trend that has really begun to take off is capitalizing on popular apps. While there are millions of apps on the market, some are much more popular than others. Businesses are beginning to capitalize on this, and advertise for themselves without having to own a part of the apps. Native ads are becoming much more popular for businesses because they are less invasive to viewers. The greatest mistake an ad can do is annoy a potential customer so much they not only don’t want to watch the ad, but don’t want to try to product.

Future of marketing 2020

With 2020 only two years away, it still isn’t safe to say exactly where current marketing trends are headed. It might be safe to say, though, that automation, machine learning, and on-demand will be included. Not only machine learning and automation, AR and VR will all most likely see a major surge in digital marketing. In the coming years, VR and AR will be capitalized on as a viable medium for content marketing. Right now, it is not popular enough, but this could change drastically in the years ahead. Automation and machine learning are also bound to change the marketing industry over the next few years.

Current, marketing trends allow businesses to reach customers more effectively and accurately. As marketing technology grows, so will the digital marketing campaigns companies put out for their current and potential customers.
