There has been a major shakeup in the cloud industry – Experience management company, Qualtrics, was all set for an IPO launch this week before SAP announced that it is acquiring the company for $8 billion. The German-based technology giant secured 7 billion euros in financing to ensure the move happens and the deal is expected to close in the first two quarters of 2019.
Cisco recently announced the launch of a hybrid deployment option for customers of both Cisco and Amazon’s Web Services. Under the new integration of the product, the Cisco Hybrid Solution for Kubernetes [pronounced Q-BER-NET-EZ) now on AWS will enable the configuration of a Container Platform that is optimized for easy deployment of application on either the Cisco platform or the AWS platform.
Independent advertising technology provider, OpenX, recently announced that Michael Martin will join the company as Vice President of Global DSP Partnerships. In an attempt to strengthen their B2B offerings, Adroll Group has acquired Growlabs to help their RollWorks unit provide B2B marketers with a better account-based solution.
To support machine learning and real-time decision making, VoltDB and MapR Technologies have joined forces. VoltDB, a real-time application database, will derive analytics results from data streams based on machine learning algorithms from MapR Technologies.
