AMG/Parade, a premium content distributor, has promoted Monique Kakar to Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer, Digital. She previously served as Vice President, Corporate Marketing & Video Solutions at the company which distributes premium content across print, mobile, digital, video and audio platforms.
Tracey Altman, Executive Vice President of New Ventures and Business Development, made the announcement in early October, stating, “As our digital and video initiatives are growing, there is no one better suited to spearhead this effort for our entire company than Monique. I’ve watched Monique grow from a talented marketer at Parade to a senior level executive leading a successful team and I could not be more impressed by her work. Over the past four years, she has led initiatives across three websites, several YouTube channels, five newspaper distributed magazines and a variety of newsstand Special Interest Publications. I look forward to seeing the significant digital audience and revenue growth as we implement her marketing plan.”
According to a company press release, Kakar, who has been with AMG/Parade since 2014, “will be tasked with overseeing the planning, strategy, and execution of the company’s digital marketing initiatives, ensuring it effectively reaches target audiences and appeals to brand advertisers.”
In her previous role, Kakar “managed the company’s investment partnership with Made in Network, working with Made in Network CEO Kevin Grosch and the AMG/Parade Sales team to bring in new business and develop brand channel and custom content strategies on the YouTube platform.” As CMO, she will continue working with Made In Network and will build the presence of AMG/Parade and its advertising partners on YouTube.
Kakar will work out of New York City and will report directly to Tracey Altman.
Prior to her work with AMG/Parade, Kakar served as Business Development Manager for Eventive Marketing and had several roles at CONDÉ NAST, a Parade publication.
AMG/Parade’s brands include Relish, Spry Living, Athlon Sports & Life, and American Profile’s Community Table. The company’s newsstand titles fill the sports, decorating and gardening, outdoors and pop culture categories. The company also creates custom content for newspapers, major brand clients, and retailers.
