Disney and Twitter will be collaborating with the animation company creating new live shows for the social media company.
On Monday, the two companies came to a consensus to create content and offer advertising opportunities specifically on Twitter. Further details on this content will be presented in upcoming presentations by Twitter and ESPN advertisers, this week in New York.
Subsequent programs from ABC, Disney Channel, Freeform, Disney Digital Network, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Radio Disney, and Marvel will be announced later.
While talking on its recent financial report, Twitter stated that more than 50 percent of its advertising revenue came from video opportunities. This collaboration will further strengthen Twitter’s growing video offerings. Through this collaboration, Disney will get an opportunity to reach digital audiences.
As soon as this was announced, shares of Twitter shot up by more than 4.5 percent on Monday.
