NCC Media Taps Bob Ivins as Chief Data Officer

One of the only media and technology companies to represent video programming providers in the U.S. hires new data officer.

NCC Media recently announced that Bob Ivins will serve as the company’s new Chief Data Officer. According to a release on BusinessWire.com, Ivins will be responsible for “developing and extending the company’s advanced television and media offerings helping brands intelligently connect with viewers across NCC’s unparalleled collection of linear and addressable inventory.”

Ivins will report directly to President and CEO, Nicolle Pangis.

NCC Media is known as one of the only media and technology companies that represents video programming providers in every market throughout the United States. The company is owned by Comcast, Charter, and Cox.

Ivins has shown prolific success in the media and data industries and is highly regarded for his expertise in the development of data-driven advertising over the past several decades. Before joining NCC, he held executive positions at comScore, Mindshare, Comcast, Yahoo and Nielsen.

At Mindshare, he served as Chief Data Officer and led the company in putting data front and center, linking real-time insights to adaptive marketing. As Vice President of Data Products at Comcast, Ivins led the development of the Audience Interconnect database that underlies Comcast’s cross-platform ad offering. At comScore, Ivins was SVP/MD of the Europe region where he led the company’s operations from launch to pan-European leader in web measurement and web analytics.

He is transitioning to NCC Media from Rakuten-owned digital commerce company Slice Technologies, where he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager. During his time at Slice, Ivins distinguished himself as an expert in researching tools that measure the effectiveness of online advertising.
