Spot.IM Raises $25 Million for Expansion of Platform

Spot.IM has received an additional influx of capital this past week with over $25 million raised in Series D funding. This joins the other $38 million that has been raised over the last few months. The funding this past week was led by previous investor Insight Venture Partners, Norma Investments (representing businessman Roman Abramovich), Cerca, AltaIR Capital, and WGI Group (founded by Mike Walrath, Jonah Goodhart, and Noah Goodhart).

With headquarters in both Tel Aviv, Israel and New York City, Spot.IM has carved out their own brand of digital media to help brands improve their relationships with their userbase. Spot.IM has partnerships with Fox News, Verizon Media, Hearst, Refinery29, Engagdet,, Huffington Post, Time Inc., USA Today, National Broadcasting Corporation, The Enthusiast Network, MarketWatch, and other companies.

Spot.IM looks to make improvements to their infrastructure and social network with this latest infusion of capital. Speaking about the aims of Spot.IM, CEO Nadav Shoval comments, “Our goal has always been to provide publishers with the ability to build a sustainable business organically through their content and community — not arbitrary clicks, we are excited by the enthusiasm of our investors and partners for the platform that we’re building. Spot.IM looks to improve upon their standing as an important player in the Digital Media sweepstakes. Housing an exclusive community platform, Spot.IM improves on social relationships between company and customer and looks to make improvements to this platform with this latest raising of cash. To that end, Spot.IM has also announced that its appointed media and tech executive Itzik Ben-Bassat as President and a new member of its board of directors.

With this latest boost to the coffers, Spot.IM looks to make improvements across the board and should improve the customer/company experience and comment sections going forward. Spot.IM has been a very successful venture thus far and with this latest news, Spot.IM looks to up their success and branches out to new levels of service and infrastructure.
