London based AI-powered marketing analysis startup Aiden.ai announced that it has closed its latest fundraising round with $1.6 million raised. This round was led by Partech, with participation from angel investors Sophia Bendz, who was recently appointed a partner at Atomico, and Nicolas Pinto, founder of Perceptio, which was eventually acquired by Apple.
As part of the deal, Reza Malekzadeh, a partner at Partech and an early VMWare employee, will join Aiden.ai’s board of directors. This last round brings Aiden.ai’s funds raised to date to $2.3 million, after an initial pre-seed round of $750,000 in March 2017.
Aiden’s “first AI-powered marketing analyst” helps customers with taking care of Facebook ads. It’s designed for mobile app marketers, and “uses machine reading to analyze large sets of paid advertising data, and proactively make changes to improve ROI,” the company stated in a press release.
“Today’s performance marketers are bogged down with data coming from multiple sources,” said Marie Outtier, co-founder and CEO of Aiden.ai. “This problem isn’t new, but our approach of teaching software to act like a real analyst would have never been explored before. It’s a new generation of software, one that listens, learns and acts.”
The company was co-founded by Outtier, who has a background in mobile marketing and technology, and PJ Camillieri who previously spent 10 years at Apple working on Natural Language Processing and virtual assistants. Camillieri is now the Chief Technology Officer of Aiden.
