The leading global provider of cloud services for video, Brightcove Inc., announced that Rick Hanson has been appointed as the company’s first ever Chief Revenue Officer.
Rick has over 25 years of experience in sales and developing high performing teams. Prior to joining Brightcove, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of North America and was tasked with America’s team sales efforts with the top global 1000 and Fortune 1000 accounts in market-leading areas.
He has also served as Executive Vice President of Global Sales for Skyport Systems and oversaw HP’s software business. Rick has also spent 14 years at RSA as Vice President of Worldwide Sales Engineering & Sales Methodology Training and Area Sales Director. In his new role, Hanson will oversee the global sales organization including all customer-facing direct sales, channel sales, and professional services organizations. He will be reporting directly to Brightcove’s CEO Jeff Ray.
