It appears another Android TV player is set to be released soon, according to a report from Cord Cutters News.
The data presented notes that the gadget is somehow associated with Google. All previous Android TV gadgets have run on Google’s Android TV platform. Reports indicate that the new player is either a Pixel Player or a subsequent gadget to the Xiaomi Mi Box.
To be clear, the report is not indicating that a Mi Box 2 will be revealed, but that another Android TV gadget is coming out with the help of a third-party producer. This is similar to the Nexus Player which, in spite of the fact that it was a Google-subsidiary item, was an Android TV gadget made by ASUS.
While the report indicates that none of the data is confirmed, there is anticipation that the gadget will be unveiled this fall. This aligns with Google being expected to unveil its most recent Pixel cell phone and some other hardware the organization has in store.
In spite of the fact that the Mi Box was formally launched at Google I/O (early last year), it didn’t hit the market until the fall and around the time when Google held its October 4 event in 2016. It is likely that a Google-backed Android TV player would be unveiled at a similar occasion this year.
