If you are planning to do your holiday shopping in Whole Foods, you can also purchase gadgets like smart speakers through Amazon. As the holiday season approaches, Amazon is leveraging its acquisition of Whole Foods by including some of its products in the grocery store aisles.
Amazon has recently taken an interest in brick and mortar stores. The company announced on Thursday that it would include a range of tech products to more than 100 Whole Food Stores across the United States. Amazon has placed products like Echo speaker or Kindle at discounted prices for Black Friday. These products will be available for a discounted price of $20 to $30. The Kindle Fire 7 tablet has a discount of $20 while the Fire HD 8 tablet has a discounted price of $30.
Amazon plans to open more pop-up stores for the holiday season, giving access to products like Kindle Fire tablets and unique voice-activated home speakers. Over these speakers, Amazon staff will be explaining the benefits of Amazon Prime. Beyond the free shipping, they will also provide a library of movies and TV shows, plus discounts on some items at Whole Foods. These pop-up stores will open at Whole Foods stores in Chicago, Illinois; Rochester Hills, Michigan; Pasadena, California; and Florida.
Amazon has described this model as a collaborative program, asserting that the move is another step forward in joining the two companies.
