The company has first unveiled iOS 11 at its WWDC event back in June. Also, the beta versions of iOS 11 were available for a few months, and developers have been working on updates and new features for the new operating system.
The new iOS 11 for the iPad gives you the option to multitask, and you will be able to work on multiple apps side by side and on top of one another. For the iPhone a new Control Center is a new addition that makes it easier to quickly access Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Apple TV controls.
When you continue swiping, you will get a bird’s-eye view of your recent apps and workspaces. Because of that your workspace will show multiple apps running in split screen. If you want to open two apps side-by-side, you can now just drag and drop an app icon from the dock to the main screen. More features include the ability to drag documents and photos across multiple apps. There is also an option to manage your files in the new Files app.
For the iPhone, many developers have been playing around with ARKit, Apple’s new augmented reality framework. It makes it much easier to generate AR-enabled apps, with iOS doing the heavy lifting. Also, if you keep your iPhone up to date, you get the latest security updates, performance improvements and new emojis.
