Are you using the best e-recruitment methods to attract the best talent?

There are many ways to use online recruitment tools to attract candidates in a more engaging way. The way CHROs recruit candidates might be changing but the fact that it is essential to be engaging to attract the best talent hasn’t.

Having an effective HR recruitment process is essential but it might look different to your company now than it did ten years ago. As our society relies more and more on technology, companies are having to do the same to reach potential candidates. The way businesses hire in our digital age is changing and that can seem scary to many recruiters but luckily, there are new methods of recruitment that can help you seek and engage with potential candidates in their digital realm.

Let’s look at some e-recruitment methods that are taking center stage to attract candidates in our highly digital world.

Top E-recruitment Methods

When it comes to recruiting in 2018 and beyond, CHROs need to keep in mind that millennials and Generation Z are extremely tech-savvy. The best way to communicate and engage with these generations is through technology. When you speak to these generations in a way they’re familiar with and understand, you’ll have a much better chance to engage them and attract them to your company.

Social Media

No list about e-recruitment methods would be complete without mentioning social media. Social media has not only grown in importance for companies to relate and engage with their audience but also potential employees as well. A great way to use social media to reach potential candidates is to have your employees promote job openings on their personal social media pages. Visual content is also huge and much more engaging and fun than a lengthy description about a job you have open in your company so a great way to attract these younger generations is through engaging videos that describe the culture of your company and explain why it’s such a great place to work.

Once you’ve created a video outlining what makes your company culture so inviting and relaxed, don’t forget to promote the video on your company website and YouTube and even have your employees promote the video on their own social media sites. Whenever having your employees promote company stuff on their social media, though, remember to make sure that those employees are representing your company in the best light or else you could have a potential PR crisis on your hands.

Create a Game

Recruitment online doesn’t have to be a boring process or a lengthy description of the open job position. Make your online job postings fun and interactive by creating a game that tests skills required for the open job position. Your game could also just provide candidates with a sense of what it would be like to work for your organization. An interactive, fun online game will not only make the recruitment process fun, but it will also increase the awareness of your brand and convey to your audience that your company is fun and promotes a creative culture.

Mobile Apps

One of the best online recruitment tools you can use to attract the young generations entering the workforce is connecting with candidates through mobile apps. Mobile apps are already a popular way to connect with audiences because they provide a great deal of convenience and people already use them every day, multiple times a day. Mobile apps offer an excellent platform for recruiters to offer a more interactive, engaging experience for both potential candidates and themselves. There are already multiple apps available for your company to use to connect with candidates or you could even use your own company app and have candidates film interview videos or even play the recruitment game you created for your open positions.
