Sodexo, a French food services and facilities management company based in France, recently named Pradeep Chavda as its new human resources director of India operations. Chavda will succeed Mallika Dsouza, who transitioned into a larger role at Sodexo in the United States.
Chavda is no stranger to executive leadership positions, with an impressive background in both national and international environments for over 20 years. He graduated from MS University and earned a Master’s degree in social work alongside two postgraduate diplomas, one in Human Resources and the other in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.
He left his role as head of HR at Bharti Airtel, managing nearly 7,000 employees, to pursue his new position at Sodexo. His new role will require him to shape the talent pool at Sodexo into productive leaders who will become better prepared for the industry. Chavda will use his previous experience in the field to promote an innovative, sustainable working environment for the employees of the company.
Sodexo India President Rishi Gour expressed his expectations for Chavda in the following statement:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Pradeep to the Sodexo family. As the HR lead for India, Pradeep will be responsible for envisioning the roadmap for HR, driving the people strategy and ensuring implementation of operational priorities to help business grow in alignment with the key organisational developmental strategies.”
Last year, Sodexo On-site Services “delivered food and facilities management solutions across 1,200 sites for 450+ clients with its network of 42,500 employees, spread across 8 regional offices and a corporate office in Mumbai.”
With Chavda’s position as Sodexo’s new human resources director of Indian operations, he will work diligently to improve the company’s productivity and expand its horizons to become a global leader in the industry.
