Analytics platform, Incorta, has hired former Google X Director, Wael Fakharany, to help direct its expansion into Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) by developing go-to-market strategies and operations, according to a recent blog post.
Fakharany holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from Cairo University and has worked in Google X’s EMEA markets in different roles as a regional leader. Google X is the semi-secret division of the company that creates radical solutions to some of the world biggest problems.
Incorta is a company dedicated to simplifying data analytics for business, making the traditional data warehouse almost obsolete, and shrinking the time needed for analysis from months to days to roll out new applications quicker and reduce query and reporting times from hours to seconds, according to GeekWorld.com.
Recently, Incorta raised $10 million in Series A round of funding lead by GV (formerly Google Ventures). It also added to its advisory board Google’s head of user growth and analytics Ken Rudin, former Oracle CFO Jeff Epstein, and former EMC/RSA and Ionic Security veteran Mike Rogers to lead global sales.
